The World's Billionaires

Below is an article taken from Forbes.com.

The World's Billionaires

The World's Billionaires

Luisa Kroll, Matthew Miller and Tatiana Serafin03.11.09, 06:00 PM EDT

It's been a tough year for the richest people in the world. Last year there were 1,125 billionaires. This year there are just 793 people rich enough to make our list.

The world has become a wealth wasteland. Like the rest of us, the richest people in the world have endured a financial disaster over the past year. Today there are 793 people on our list of the World's Billionaires, a 30% decline from a year ago.

Of the 1,125 billionaires who made last year's ranking, 373 fell off the list--355 from declining fortunes and 18 who died. There are 38 newcomers, plus three moguls who returned to the list after regaining their 10-figure fortunes. It is the first time since 2003 that the world has had a net loss in the number of billionaires.

In Pictures: The 50 Richest People In The World

The world's richest are also a lot poorer. Their collective net worth is $2.4 trillion, down $2 trillion from a year ago. Their average net worth fell 23% to $3 billion. The last time the average was that low was in 2003.

Bill Gates lost $18 billion but regained his title as the world's richest man. Warren Buffett, last year's No. 1, saw his fortune decline $25 billion as shares of Berkshire Hathaway (nyse: BRK.A - news people ) fell nearly 50% in 12 months, but he still managed to slip just one spot to No. 2. Mexican telecom titan Carlos Slim Helú also lost $25 billion and dropped one spot to No. 3.

It was hard to avoid the carnage, whether you were in stocks, commodities, real estate or technology. Even people running profitable businesses were hammered by frozen credit markets, weak consumer spending or declining currencies.

The biggest loser in the world this year, by dollars, was last year's biggest gainer. India's Anil Ambani lost $32 billion--76% of his fortune--as shares of his Reliance Communications, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital all collapsed.

Ambani is one of 24 Indian billionaires, all but one of whom are poorer than a year ago. Another 29 Indians lost their billionaire status entirely as India's stock market tumbled 44% in the past year and the Indian rupee depreciated 18% against the dollar. It is no longer the top spot in Asia for billionaires, ceding that title to China, which has 28.

Russia became the epicenter of the world's commodities bust, dropping 55 billionaires--two-thirds of its 2008 crop. Among them: Dmitry Pumpyansky, an industrialist from the resource-rich Ural mountain region, who lost $5 billion as shares of his pipe producer, TMK, sank 84%. Also gone is Vasily Anisimov, father of Moscow's Paris Hilton, Anna Anisimova, who lost $3.2 billion as the value of his Metalloinvest Holding, one of Russia's largest ore mining and processing firms, fell along with his real estate holdings.

Twelve months ago Moscow overtook New York as the billionaire capital of the world, with 74 tycoons to New York's 71. Today there are 27 in Moscow and 55 in New York.

After slipping in recent years, the U.S. is regaining its dominance as a repository of wealth. Americans account for 44% of the money and 45% of the list's slots, up seven and three percentage points from last year, respectively. Still, it has 110 fewer billionaires than a year ago.

Those with ties to Wall Street were particularly hard hit. Former head of AIG (nyse: AIG - news people) Maurice (Hank) Greenberg saw his $1.9 billion fortune nearly wiped out after the insurance behemoth had to be bailed out by the U.S. government. Today Greenberg is worth less than $100 million. Former Citigroup (nyse:C - news people ) Chairman Sandy Weill also falls from the ranks.

Last year there were 39 American billionaire hedge fund managers; this year there are 28. Twelve American private equity tycoons dropped out of the billionaire ranks.

Blackstone Group's (nyse: BX - news people ) Stephen Schwarzman, who lost $4 billion, and Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts' Henry Kravis, who lost $2.5 billion, retain their billionaire status despite their weaker fortunes.

Worldwide, 80 of the 355 drop-offs from last year's list had fortunes derived from finance or investments.

While 656 billionaires lost money in the past year, 44 added to their fortunes. Those who made money did so by catering to budget-conscious consumers (discount retailer Uniqlo's Tadashi Yanai), predicting the crash (investor John Paulson) or cashing out in the nick of time (Cirque du Soleil's Guy Laliberte).

So is there anywhere one can still make a fortune these days? The 38 newcomers offer a few clues. Among the more notable new billionaires are Mexican Joaquín Guzmán Loera, one of the biggest suppliers of cocaine to the U.S.; Wang Chuanfu of China, whose BYD Co. began selling electric cars in December, and American John Paul Dejoria, who got the world clean with his Paul Mitchell shampoos and sloppy with his Patrón Tequila.

Swine Flu

4/27/2009 09:52:00 PM
Hello everyone.

Did you read an article in the newspapers on swine flu few days ago? If you do, please take some precautions. I would like to share some facts from Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Check out below.

Key Facts about Swine Influenza (Swine Flu)

1.         What is Swine Influenza?
Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenzavirus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans. The classical swine flu virus (an influenza type A H1N1 virus) was first isolated from a pig in 1930.

2.        How many swine flu viruses are there?
Like all influenza viruses, swine flu viruses change constantly. Pigs can be infected by avian influenza and human influenza viruses as well as swine influenza viruses. When influenza viruses from different species infect pigs, the viruses can reassort (i.e. swap genes) and new viruses that are a mix of swine, human and/or avian influenza viruses can emerge. Over the years, different variations of swine flu viruses have emerged. At this time, there are four main influenza type A virus subtypes that have been isolated in pigs: H1N1, H1N2, H3N2, and H3N1. However, most of the recently isolated influenza viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses.

Swine Flu in Humans

3.        Can humans catch swine flu?
Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans. However, sporadic human infections with swine flu have occurred. Most commonly, these cases occur in persons with direct exposure to pigs (e.g. children near pigs at a fair or workers in the swine industry). In addition, there have been documented cases of one person spreading swine flu to others. For example, an outbreak of apparent swine flu infection in pigs in Wisconsin in 1988 resulted in multiple human infections, and, although no community outbreak resulted, there was antibody evidence of virus transmission from the patient to health care workers who had close contact with the patient.

4.        How common is swine flu infection in humans?
In the past, CDC received reports of approximately one human swine influenza virus infection every one to two years in the U.S., but from December 2005 through February 2009, 12 cases of human infection with swine influenza have been reported.

5.        What are the symptoms of swine flu in humans?
The symptoms of swine flu in people are expected to be similar to the symptoms of regular human
seasonal influenza and include fever, lethargy, lack of appetite and coughing. Some people with swine flu also have reported runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

6.        Can people catch swine flu from eating pork?
No. Swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. You can not get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 160°F kills the swine flu virus as it does other bacteria and viruses.

7.        How does swine flu spread?
Influenza viruses can be directly transmitted from pigs to people and from people to pigs. Human infection with flu viruses from pigs are most likely to occur when people are in close proximity to infected pigs, such as in pig barns and livestock exhibits housing pigs at fairs. Human-to-human transmission of swine flu can also occur. This is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu occurs in people, which is mainly person-to-person transmission through coughing or sneezing of people infected with the influenza virus. People may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

8.        What do we know about human-to-human spread of swine flu?
In September 1988, a previously healthy 32-year-old pregnant woman was hospitalized for pneumonia and died 8 days later. A swine H1N1 flu virus was detected. Four days before getting sick, the patient visited a county fair swine exhibition where there was widespread influenza-like illness among the swine.

In follow-up studies, 76% of swine exhibitors tested had antibody evidence of swine flu infection but no serious illnesses were detected among this group. Additional studies suggest that one to three health care personnel who had contact with the patient developed mild influenza-like illnesses with antibody evidence of swine flu infection.

9.        How can human infections with swine influenza be diagnosed?
To diagnose swine influenza A infection, a respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding virus). However, some persons, especially children, may shed virus for 10 days or longer. Identification as a swine flu influenza A virus requires sending the specimen to CDC for laboratory testing.

10.        What medications are available to treat swine flu infections in humans?
There are four different antiviral drugs that are licensed for use in the US for the treatment of influenza: amantadine, rimantadine, oseltamivir and zanamivir. While most swine influenza viruses have been susceptible to all four drugs, the most recent swine influenza viruses isolated from humans are resistant to amantadine and rimantadine. At this time, CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir or zanamivir for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with swine influenza viruses.

11.        What other examples of swine flu outbreaks are there?
Probably the most well known is an outbreak of swine flu among soldiers in Fort Dix, New Jersey in 1976. The virus caused disease with x-ray evidence of pneumonia in at least 4 soldiers and 1 death; all of these patients had previously been healthy. The virus was transmitted to close contacts in a basic training environment, with limited transmission outside the basic training group. The virus is thought to have circulated for a month and disappeared. The source of the virus, the exact time of its introduction into Fort Dix, and factors limiting its spread and duration are unknown. The Fort Dix outbreak may have been caused by introduction of an animal virus into a stressed human population in close contact in crowded facilities during the winter. The swine influenza A virus collected from a Fort Dix soldier was named A/New Jersey/76 (Hsw1N1).

12.        Is the H1N1 swine flu virus the same as human H1N1 viruses?
No. The H1N1 swine flu viruses are antigenically very different from human H1N1 viruses and, therefore, vaccines for human seasonal flu would not provide protection from H1N1 swine flu viruses.

Swine Flu in Pigs

13.        How does swine flu spread among pigs?
Swine flu viruses are thought to be spread mostly through close contact among pigs and possibly from contaminated objects moving between infected and uninfected pigs. Herds with continuous swine flu infections and herds that are vaccinated against swine flu may have sporadic disease, or may show only mild or no symptoms of infection.

14.        What are signs of swine flu in pigs?
Signs of swine flu in pigs can include sudden onset of fever, depression, coughing (barking), discharge from the nose or eyes, sneezing, breathing difficulties, eye redness or inflammation, and going off feed.

15.        How common is swine flu among pigs?
H1N1 and H3N2 swine flu viruses are endemic among pig populations in the United States and something that the industry deals with routinely. Outbreaks among pigs normally occur in colder weather months (late fall and winter) and sometimes with the introduction of new pigs into susceptible herds. Studies have shown that the swine flu H1N1 is common throughout pig populations worldwide, with 25 percent of animals showing antibody evidence of infection. In the U.S. studies have shown that 30 percent of the pig population has antibody evidence of having had H1N1 infection. More specifically, 51 percent of pigs in the north-central U.S. have been shown to have antibody evidence of infection with swine H1N1. Human infections with swine flu H1N1 viruses are rare. There is currently no way to differentiate antibody produced in response to flu vaccination in pigs from antibody made in response to pig infections with swine H1N1 influenza.

While H1N1 swine viruses have been known to circulate among pig populations since at least 1930, H3N2 influenza viruses did not begin circulating among US pigs until 1998. The H3N2 viruses initially were introduced into the pig population from humans. The current swine flu H3N2 viruses are closely related to human H3N2 viruses.

16.        Is there a vaccine for swine flu?
Vaccines are available to be given to pigs to prevent swine influenza. There is no vaccine to protect humans from swine flu. The seasonal influenza vaccine will likely help provide partial protection against swine H3N2, but not swine H1N1 viruses.

Maintaining Honesty and Integrity

4/27/2009 09:42:00 PM

Maintaining Honesty and Integrity by Jim Rohn (excerpted from Cultivating an Unshakable Character)

For a leader, honesty and integrity are absolutely essential to survival. A lot of business people don't realize how closely they're being watched by their subordinates. Remember when you were a kid in grammar school, how you used to sit there staring at your teacher all day? By the end of the school year, you could do a perfect imitation of all your teacher's mannerisms. You were aware of the slightest nuances in your teacher's voice - all the little clues that distinguished levels of meaning that told you the difference between bluff and "now I mean business".

And you were able to do that after eight or nine months of observation. Suppose you had five or 10 years. Do you think there would have been anything about your teacher you didn't know?

Now fast forward and use that analogy as a manager. Do you think there's anything your people don't know about you right this minute? If you haven't been totally aboveboard and honest with them, do you really think you've gotten away with it? Not too likely. But if you've been led to believe that you've gotten away with it, there might be a good probability that people are afraid of you, and that's a problem in its own right.

But there is another side of this coin. In any organization, people want to believe in their leaders. If you give them reason to trust you, they're not going to go looking for reasons to think otherwise, and they'll be just as perceptive about your positive qualities as they are about the negative ones.

A situation that happened some years ago at a company in the Midwest illustrates this perfectly. The wife of a new employee experienced complications in the delivery of a baby. There was a medical bill of more than $10,000, and the health insurance company didn't want to cover it. The employee hadn't been on the payroll long enough, the pregnancy was a preexisting condition, etc,etc,..

In any case, the employee was desperate. He approached the company CEO and asked him to talk to the insurance people. The CEO agreed, and the next thing the employee knew, the bill was gone and the charges were rescinded.

Then he told some colleagues about the way the CEO had so readily used his influence with the insurance company, they just shook their heads and smiled. The CEO had paid the bill out of his own pocket, and everybody knew it, no matter how quietly it had been done.

Now an act of dishonesty can't be hidden either, and it will instantly undermine the authority of a leader. But an act of integrity and kindness like the example above is just as obvious to all concerned. When you're in a leadership position, you have the choice of how you will be seen, but you will be seen one way or the other, make no mistake about it.

One of the most challenging areas of leadership is your family. Leadership of a family demands even higher standards of honesty and integrity, and the stakes are higher too. You can replace disgruntled employees and start over. You can even get a new job for yourself, if it comes to that. But your family can't be shuffled like a deck of cards. If you haven't noticed, kids are great moral philosophers, especially as they get into adolescence. They're determined to discover and expose any kind of hypocrisy, phoniness, or lack of integrity on the part of authority figures, and if we're parents, that means us. It's frightening how unforgiving kids can be about this, but it really isn't a conscious decision on their part; it's just a necessary phase of growing up.

They're testing everything, especially their parents.

As a person of integrity yourself, you'll find it easy to teach integrity to your kids, and they in turn will find it easy to accept you as a teacher. This is a great opportunity and also a supreme responsibility, because kids simply must be taught to tell the truth: to mean what they say and to say what they mean.

Praise is one of the world's most effective teaching and leadership tools. Criticism and blame, even if deserved, are counterproductive unless all other approaches have failed.

Now for the other side of the equation, we all know people who have gotten ahead as a result of dishonest or unethical behavior. When you're a kid, you might naively think that never happens, but when you get older, you realize that it does. Then you think you've really wised up. But that's not the real end of it. When you get older, you see the long-term consequences of dishonest gain, and you realize that in the end it doesn't pay.

Hope of dishonest gain is the beginning of loss.’ I don't think that old saying refers to loss of money. I think it actually means loss of self-respect. You can have all the material things in the world, but if you've lost respect for yourself, what do you really have? The only way to ever attain success and enjoy it is to achieve it honestly with pride in what you've done.

This isn't just a sermon, it's very practical advice. Not only can you take it to heart - you can take it to the bank.

To Your Success,

Jim Rohn

Weekend in Endau Rompin (4x4 Adventure Trip)

4/27/2009 07:28:00 PM
Hello everyone.

How is everyone doing? Good? I hope you had a great weekend. My weekend on April 24th - April 26th was great. Spent it in Endau Rompin.

It was a lovely Friday morning. I needed a lift to Dataran Maybank where all the participants and crews assembled, so Joe came to pick me up. Me and Joe were part of the crew. As for my other cousin, Jeff was the adventure mastermind and commander of the crew.

There were some briefings and speech given in Dataran Maybank's lobby area. Soon after the that left for Endau Rompin, which was at 930am. Me and Joe were in the last car. The last car was driven by a driver called Mata Rabak. His duty was as a sweeper for the convoi. As a sweeper he has to make sure all the drivers and cars are accounted for. There were a total of 19 cars.

From Dataran Maybank to Sungai Besi Highway, we were escorted by Traffic Police. Once the policw left us and we collect the toll tickets, all the drivers regouped according car call sign i.e. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot etc. Once everyone is accounted for, we started our journey to Endau Rompin. First stop was at Ayer Keroh jejantas for lunch. After Ayer Keroh jejantas, left for Kahang where we stopped for another break and prayers.

Once left Kahang, we went off road to Endau Rompin National Forest. It was a rough and tough drive. A very interesting drive all the way to the campsite. Once reach the campsite, we set up our camps and campbeds. Oops, before that; on our way to Endau Rompin we had to inroduce ourselves (paricipants & crews) and create our own call sign. A call sign is like a name. During our trip and stay in Endau Rompin, we will be called by our call sign. Mine was Poy. Poy is actually my nickname. So I ought for Poy. The rest of the crews were Mata Rabak, Kemayan, Gagak Hitam, Kucing, Hamster, Baung etc. As for the participants, their call sign were Mama G, Sirap Bandung, Nasi Tambah, Darling, Kring Kring etc. I forgot Joe's call sign.

It was very interesting to see Mata Rabak and the riest of the drivers handle the off road obstacles on the way to Endau Rompin. It makes want to learn to drive off road.

At the campsite, after setting up the camps and campbeds; started unpacking and went for a swim in the river. The river was nice. Not deep and it was cold. In the camp where I stayed; there were 8 of us, namely Commander (Jeff), Joe, myself, Mata Rabak, Baung, Thom, Hamster and Cat.

The next day, the activity was giving gifts to kampung orang asli which was organized by the participants. Oh yes, the participants are from ETIQA Maybank. Apart from doing charity, they went for jungle trekking and also took a boat to Kuala Jasin. Myself, Mata Rabak, Thom, Kemayan, Pak Nik did not go. I did not go because did not bring my proper shoes. Myself and the rest who did not go, spent time in our own camps and also spent time swimming in the river. Apart from that myself, Mata Rabak and Thom; re-design/re-decorate our camps as we thought it might rain. Also, Thom fried some fish which was caught by Baung and Cat the night before.

The second night in Endau Rompin were spent in the camp talking and laughing. Went for a swim in the river. Baung managed to caught few more fish. Thom cooked all the fish and apart from that cook us some noodles using instant noodles. We also invited participants and crews from other camps to join us. Soon after that, went to sleep.

The last day in Endau Rompin was spent watching a demonstration of off road driving by Cat. Other than that, we were busy packing all the stuff and went for a last swim. Before leaving Endau Rompin, rain finally came but it was for a few minutes. Again on the way down to Kahang main road, the drivers showed their skills in handling obstacles especially since it was wet. Again it made me want to learn their skills.

Once reached the main road, the rest of the cars went to petrol station to fill their petrol and check teir tyres. As for myself, Joe and Mata Rabak went straight to a workshop where Thom needed to change his tyres. Once done, drove off to Ayer Hitam for lunch. After lunch continue our journey to KL. Along the way to KL, one of the drivers, Barretta; had a problem with his car. The water pump does not work. Had to be towed to the nearest R&R. After some discussion among all the drivers including Jeff, Mata Rabak and Baung decided to towed the car to Pagoh and the rest left for KL.

Once the rest left for KL, myself, Joe, Mata Rabak, Baung towed Barretta's car to Pagoh. Along the way we finally decided to towed the all the to Barretta's home in Kepong. We stopped for dinner in Ayer Keroh jejantas. Soon after, continued our journey to Kepong. Once reached KL, Baung decided to tow Barretta's car on his own while the rest of us was sent to Jeff's house in Bukit Antarabangsa.

Hang out in Jeff's house for a couple of hours and later went home.

Well, thats it. I had a great weekend and I hope all of you had a great weekend as well. I hope to join future trips if there is any. Maybe one day I'll be good driving off road. Again it was an interesting weekend and had no regrets at all.

First impression & Right impression

4/21/2009 11:19:00 PM

Hi again readers. How was my previous article on Susan Boyle? Hope you enjoyed it and learn from it. When you read my article on Susan Boyle, what did you gain from it? Well, personally, first impression is not that important. Some of you may disagree but look at Susan Boyle. She was decently dressed and clean but was laughed mercilessly by the audiences. In the end she stunned the audiences including judges with her amazing voice.

We all get a first impression of a new person that creates a mental image of his or her personality in our minds. That image of you often lasts and can affect the relationship that follows.

That’s the problem with first impressions; sometimes you catch someone on an off day, when they’re in bad mood, not dressed to impress, and you form a false impression of them from that one meeting. Image has always been everything, it seems, as people tend to judge you from the way you look or present yourself. Sometimes people may think they know you but how many of us are masking out true selves?

It takes just a quick glance, maybe three seconds, for someone to evaluate you when you meet for the first time. In this short time, the other person forms an opinion about you based on your appearance, your body language, your demeanor, your mannerisms, and how you are dressed. With every new encounter, you are evaluated and yet another person’s impression of you is formed. These first impressions can be nearly impossible to reverse or undo.

Of course we all want to make the best first impression. There are people doing it because of their jobs, some do it because they need to maintain a certain image to fit in with whoever or whatever it is they want, some to create a public self image. Stereotyping everyone. We’ve all done that at some point and probably still do it unconsciously. For instance the perceptions of all lawyers are crooked or people in fashion-related industries are shallow and materialistic or all politicians are corrupted.

You do not have to be any of the above, do you? The most unlikely people always surprise everyone. I personally think first impression is not that great or important. The most important is making the right impression. People need to make a right impression to get a job or to get a promotion or to win competitions etc. That’s when grooming and self-confidence comes in.

It’s really strange to find out that some people really don’t care enough to look presentable. I’m not talking about dress codes even though its good manners to follow one to which most of the time Malaysians never do. At the very least it’s just about looking neat and tidy. It’s not what you wear but the way you wear it. In fact, don’t have to be good looking to get your way all the time.

To look good and beautiful is not difficult to achieve. If you think you’re fabulous and believe strongly that you are, everyone else will automatically believe it too. Anything is possible and with strength of a will and mind will get everything you want. By the way, looking good makes you feel good and naturally makes you feel confident. Imagine how everything falls into place after that? Well, it’s the Law of Attraction. If you focused on positive things in your life, you will automatically attract positive things into your life. In other simple words ‘like attracts like’ or ‘positive vibes attracts positive things and people’.

Have a good day and I hope this article helps.

Sensational Susan Boyle (A very good lesson)

4/21/2009 07:38:00 PM
Good afternoon readers !!

I hope everyone is doing well today. Two weekends ago, one lady from Scotland shocked the world. I saw the video of her singing and I was totally amazed and shocked as well. Who is this Susan Boyle? Well, below I'm going to tell you about it.

Susan Boyle, a shy and solitary person was born in 1961. A Scottish amateur singer and church volunteer; she is the youngest of nine children and lives alone with her cat, Pebbles. She spent years taking care of her mother, who recently died and she lives in a government-subsidised home. She became public attention on 11 April 2009, when she appeared as a contestant on the third series of Britain's Got Talent.

The frizzy-haired squarely built Susan Boyle walked onto the stage of Britain's Got Talent in front of the three judges. The audience laughed mercilessly as she did a saucy hip wiggle and said she'd like a chance to prove she could be as good as Elaine Page, the legendary singer often called the First Lady of British musical theatre.

Then she did something extraordinary. She sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from the West End musical Les Misérables. Within the first few bars of "I Dreamed a Dream", the audience was standing and applauding. She sang so beautifully that she received a standing ovation and is the talk of the UK. Her audition which has since been put on Youtube has received tens of millions of views. The judges pronounced themselves shocked and impressed with her soaring vocals especially Simon Cowell.

So, what did we learn from Susan Boyle?

A very good question. What did we learn? Well, there's a saying "Do not judge a book by its cover". Susan was written off before she’d sung a note. Why? Because she's a frumpy middle-aged Scotswoman, claims never been kissed and frizzy-haired. That is not right. Sometimes it’s worth giving people a chance before writing them off. They may just surprise you.

The audience’s reaction to her was hardly surprising. Were we all being cynical? Well yes, but that’s human nature. People tend to make quick judgements. A quote by her "Modern society is too quick to judge people on their appearances. There is not much you can do about it; it is the way they think; it is the way they are. But maybe this could teach them a lesson, or set an example."

She's not a huge hit because she sang the best version of” I Dreamed A Dream”, there are better versions around. She’s a huge hit because people were not expecting her to be so good. The fact that she exceeded everybody’s expectations made her performance extraordinary and something that people want to talk about.

Her sudden fame came from her ability to remind her audience that, like them, she is a normal, flawed and vulnerable person, familiar with disappointment and mockery, but who nevertheless has the determination to fight for her dream.

After her performance:

“I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honestly think that we were all being very cynical, and I think that's the biggest wake-up call ever. And I just want to say that it was a complete privilege listening to that.” - Amanda Holden, Britain's Got Talent.

“Just like the judges and audience, I was gob-smacked by the emotional powerhouse performance of Susan Boyle's show-stopping rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream". Vocally, it is one of the best versions of the song I've ever heard—touching, thrilling and uplifting. I do hope she gets to sing it for the Queen.” - Cameron Mackintosh, the producer of Les Miserables musical.

Finally a big congratulations to Susan who will continue to chase her dream. Something we should all be doing. I hope all of you readers had learn a valuable lesson from this article and from Susan Boyle as well. Please have a look at the videos on Susan Boyle below.

The power of being nice

4/20/2009 02:05:00 AM
Good afternoon everyone. Its a lovely day today. How is everyone doing? Good? Have all of you been nice to each other, relatives or anyone else you know including strangers?

You probably wonder why did I ask whether you were nice to anyone or not? Now, that is a very good question. I'll answer that question in a bit. But first lets start with the definition of nice. What is nice?

Definition of nice:
  • pleasant or pleasing or agreeable in nature or appearance
  • decent: socially or conventionally correct; refined or virtuous
  • courteaous: exhibiting courtesy and politeness

Let me share with you something. To make it to the top or to be appreciative among your relatives, family or friends, the only way is to use by any means necessary. To be honest, I don't believe that especially in the business world. I disagree with the conventional wisdom that "Nice guys finish last" and "No good deed goes unpunished." Our culture has helped to propagate the myth of social Darwinism -- of survival of the fittest -- that the cutthroat "me vs. you" philosophy wins the day.

Nice has an image problem. Nice gets no respect. To be labeled "nice" usually means the other person has little positive to say about you. Nice is not naive and it does not mean smiling blandly while others walk all over you. Also nice does not mean being a doormat. In fact, nice is the toughest four-letter word you'll ever hear. It means moving forward with the clear-eyed confidence that comes from knowing that being very nice and placing other people's needs on the same level as your own will get you everything you want.

Think about it:

  • Nice is luckier in love.
  • Nice makes more money.
  • Nice is healthier.
  • Nice spends less time in court.
Sometimes the small kindness such as the smiles, gestures, compliments, favors; that would make our day and can even change our lives. Being nice will help you to open doors, improve your relationships at work and at home, and let you sleep a whole lot better. However being nice doesn't mean sacrificing what you want for someone else. Bear in mind, nice not only finishes first; those who use its nurturing power wind up happier.

The moral of the story from the article above is that by being nice it helps lift up your spirits, be positive, makes you feel happy and it makes people feel important.

Patience

4/16/2009 05:28:00 PM
Good afternoon friends.

How is everyone doing today? Good? Have you ever been in a situation where you need something but could not get it and it makes you feel frustrated and uncomfortable? or lets just put it in one word impatience. I'm sure all of us do. Not a good thing.

What is patience?
Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast. Patience is one of the best and most valuable virtues of life. Patiently persevering, striving and going forward, despite the difficulty, is the pinnacle of behavior during challenging times.

All of you may have been wondering why topic on patience. Well, to be honest in my experience I find it very iritating when people are impatient. I'm a patient person but once in a while I do get impatient. It just happened. Nobody is perfect. Then again if you practice being patient, naturally or automatically you'll get use to it. In fact as I mention in article above, its them most improtant virtue in a human being.

I've seen people cut queue just to be the first to settle their things or just to be the first person in the train etc. I've seen people settling their paper work in hurry without checking their work and end up their paper work not up to standard or end not doing a good job. I've seen people being impatient while waiting for food/drinks and many more. Lets look at ways people can improve themselves especially in the art of being patient.

People tend to lose patience when multi-tasking or on a tight schedule. You should reconsider your to-do list before you attempt to change your natural reaction to any situation. Try spreading out your tasks so that you're doing only one thing at a time. Delegate responsibilities to others if you can; this in itself may be a test of your patience, but you have to learn to share the load.

Impatience creeps in insidiously, and if there is feeling of anxious, worried or unhappy you may not even realize that the underlying cause of these feelings is impatience. It helps to be aware of it. Sit down and make a list of all the things which cause you anxiety, tension, or frustration.

Developing patience requires a change in attitude about life but you can immediately make progress by learning to relax whenever you feel impatient.

Being aware of your impatience gives you a chance to learn from it and perhaps uncover a relationship or circumstance that is simply not healthy or constructive and that you have the power to change.

If there isn't anything that you can do to resolve whatever has triggered your impatience, just let it go. Easier said than done but it's possible, and it's the only healthy thing to do. Initially, you will probably find it difficult to let go if the matter is important to you but you should be able to alleviate impatience that's caused by issues of less consequence.

People who are impatient are people who insist on getting things done now and don't like to waste time. However, some things just can't be rushed. Almost anything really good in life takes time and dedication, and if you're impatient, you're more likely to give up on relationships, goals, and other things that are important to you. Good things may not always come to those who wait, but most good things that do come don't come right away.

Expect the unexpected. You have plans but suddenly things don't always work out as planned. Accept the twist and turns in life gracefully. Keep your expectations realistic. This applies not only to circumstances, but also the behavior of those around you. If you find yourself blowing up over your child or your spouse accidentally spilling a drink, you're not in touch with the fact that people aren't perfect. Even if the occasion is not an isolated incident but is instead caused by their repeated neglect and carelessness, losing your patience isn't going to make it any better.

Give yourself a break. Its twofold. First, take a few minutes to do absolutely nothing. Just sit quietly and think. Don't watch television; don't even read. Do nothing. It may be hard at first, and you may even feel pretty impatient after a minute or two, but by taking some time out you can essentially slow your world down. Second, stop holding yourself and the world around you to unreachable standards. Expecting the world to run smoothly is like beating your head against the wall. Give yourself a break.

Remember what matters. Not focusing on what matters most in this life fuels impatience. Move the world toward peace by being kind, generous in forgiveness of others, being grateful for what is, and taking full advantage of what matters most. When other less important things fuel our impatience, taking time to remember any one of these items reduces our tendency to want something different right now.

Well, I hope the article above make sense to all of you and I hope it helpful. Before I go below is a quote by James Clavell's Shogun:

“Karma is the beginning of knowledge. Next is patience. Patience is very important. The strong are the patient ones. Patience means holding back your inclination to the seven emotions: Hate, adoration, joy, anxiety, anger, grief, fear. If you don’t give way to the seven, you’re patient, then you’ll soon understand all manner of things and be in harmony with Eternity.”

What is love?

4/13/2009 07:17:00 PM
Good morning friends....

How is everyone doing? Well I suppose. This morning I would like to blog about love which have been playing in my mind. Its actually a question which have been playing in my mind. The question is 'What do I understand about love?' or a simple question 'What is love?'. Do any of you understand what love is?

After reading my blog, you might or might not totally agree and perhaps you could give some feedbacks or comments. Appreciate it. Well, here goes.....

What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for all mankind. We've been given the impression that to define love is nearly imposssible. Maybe there's a fear that if we define it, it would somehow be less powerful.....less impactful.....less exhilirating. Is it really that complicated?

What do you feel when you love someone? If distilled down to is core components, what would those be? Yes, love is an emotion, a feeling, a wanting and a 'being'. We know it feels good, but what specific feelings, wanting and beings are present when we feel love?

Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence.

It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love cannot be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love.

Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily.

When it comes to love it depends on context, love can be of different varieties. Romantic love is a deep, intense and unending. It shared on a very intimate and interpersonal and sexual relationship.  The term Platonic love, familial love and religious love are also matter of great affection. It is more of desire, preference and feelings. The meaning of love will change with each different relationship and depends more on its concept of depth, versatility, and complexity.

At times the very existence of love is questioned. Some say it is false and meaningless. It says that it never exist, because there has been many instances of hatred and brutality in relationships. The history of our world has witnessed many such events. There has been hatred between brothers, parents and children, sibling rivalry and spouses have failed each other. Friends have betrayed each other; the son has killed his parents for the throne, the count is endless. Even the modern generation is also facing with such dilemmas everyday. But love is not responsible for that. It is us, the people, who have forgotten the meaning of love and have undertaken such gruesome apathy.

There are 4 common denominators of love: acceptance, appreciation, wanting another to feel good and attention. Acceptance is labeling someone as "okay" and having no particular desire to change them. Who they are is perfectly fine with you.

Appreciation is one step beyond acceptance. Its when your focus is on what you like about another.

We want those we love to be happy, safe, healthy, and fulfilled. We want them to feel good in all ways, physically, mentally and emotionally.

There are many ways in which we give our attention to another. We use our five senses. Our ears to listen. Being completely present with the one who is speaking. Our eyes, watching another, undivided attention. Tasting/smelling? (I’ll let you figure that one out). Touching, giving a hug, holding a hand, a caress, or sexual expression. How you express your love depends on the type of relationship.

In psychology there are 3 components: intimacy, commitment and passion. Also, in an ancient proverb love is defined as a high form of tolerance. Love also includes compatibility but it is more of journey to the unknown when the concept of compatibility comes into picture.

Maybe the person whom we see in front of us, may be least compatible than the person who is miles away. Might talk to each other and portray the love for each other, but practically do not end up into any relationship. Also in compatibility, the key is to think about the long term successful relationship, not a short journey. We need to understand each other and must always remember that nobody is perfect.

Be together, share your joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each others need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen your relationship with your matter of affection.

The blog above is basically based on my understanding. I hope it makes sense to you. Well, maybe not; I don't know. The best is if you could provide with some feedback or comments.

Okay, thats about it for now. See ya.

A Good Thursday

4/09/2009 10:49:00 AM
Good morning friends.....

Its 1150am right now on Friday. Currently watching American Ninja 3. Its B rated movie. I'm watching because it martial arts. I love ninjutsu. Enough about it. I would like to share with my activities and my thoughts on Thursday April 10th.

Yesterday was an interesting day. Spent my time thinking and doing something good. Well, it was not that good and suffice to say it was not that bad either. My day were spent with activities except in the morning which I woke up and spent my time watching tv.

However in the afternoon, had a good meeting with a friend about my new venture in internet marketing business. The internet marketing company I ventured into is called Success University or in short SU. It is an international internet marketing company and it is still very new in Malaysia. I joined about a week ago. Its a totally new ball game, I mean in terms of running the business. It is like a network marketing business but in a different way. The difference is the business is run through the internet. The meeting I had was about setting up a website, sales page etc. I got some tips on creating my own sites and page to which I'm a bit slow.

After the meeting, I stayed on updating my new blog under blogspot.com. I previously used wordpress.com and unfrotunately had some problems with posting articles in the blog site itself. It keeps rejecting and it has been happening for quite some time. Anyway, after updating my blog in blogspot.com, I was quite happy with its progress and in fact I'm still happy. Soon after my meeting and finish updating blog, went straight home.

I was supposed to meet someone from facebook.com in the late afternoon after my meeting. Unfortunately it did not happen at all. Quite sad really. Was supposed to receive a call from her to set-up a meet but no calls received. Only call received was from The Nomad in Menara Hap Seng, Kuala Lumpur. I found out my contract in The Nomad in Menara Hap Seng had expired and informed them to send a new proposal as I was interested to continue as a virtual office client.

Soon after the call from The Nomad, had some good sleep which turn out to be not that good as I woke up at about 720pm. Should have woken up earlier than that as I need to prepare my self for badminton in PJ Section 14. The badminton was schedule at 8pm till 10pm to which I managed to arrive there at 8pm sharp. Had a great time playing badminton there. The court was good especially the lightings compared to the one in Stadium Juara.

After badminton, went straight home. Took a bath and tried to call a friend from facebook.com whom I was suppose to meet that late afternoon. Tried calling few times but could not go through. Managed to send a message in facebook.com. Hope she got my message.

As usual I stayed up at night and spent my time updating blog again. While doing that had a chat with another friend in Yahoo Messenger and at the same time was watching repeat of American Idol. I got to find out that a contestant was voted out and the person is Scott. Scott is the first blind man in American Idol history. I was sad to see him being voted out. He was good. I meant his vocals. He is a good singer. In fact he will be a good singer one day. I wsa so proud of him for being himself and relentless in his pursuance of being an artiste. Unfortunately it was not meant to be and as I mentioned was voted out. He was there since day one of American Idol this season. I was close to tears when I heard he was voted out. To be honest, I cried. He was given a standing ovation by the judges and audiences. I agreed with one of the judges, Paula Abdul. She said that Scott inspired everyone including the judges.

It kept me thinking. If a blind man can dream of being singer and managed to get into American Idol from the day one until last night, so can everyone else. My point is when you dream of something, go for it. There will be obstacles but be strong and take action. You will get there. I don't know whether I'm making any sense but I hope it does to you as it does to me. I have to do something about myself in terms of my business ventures in USANA and Success University.

Anyway, slept at 6am today. Woke up at 11am today. :)

Thats it for now. Check out my latest blog later tonight. My latest blog tonight will be on my thoughts.

See ya.

Yesterday & Today......

4/08/2009 10:10:00 PM

"Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away,

Now it looks as though they're here to stay,

Oh, I believe in yesterday"..................

I know, I know. Its gonna rain soon. Oh, shut up!!...lol.  Its an old song by the Beattles. So what?..hehhehe.... I love that song. Keeps playing in my mind right now. Anyway yesterday was actually a good day for me. I guess so. So what did I do yesterday? Good question..hehehe...

YESTERDAY - March 24th 2009

Hmmm.....

The night before did not sleep. Well managed to sleep yesterday morning at about 7am. Woke up at about 10am and brought my grandpa to salon as he need to shave. He can't do it on his own, in fact I can't do it either. Why can't I do it? Well, I was scared of doing it wrongly. I'm no professional shaver.

So, what next? Basically did a lot of reading and went to USANA office. Most of the time doing lots of reading. Why reading? Well, I love to read. It keeps my brain moving. It stimulates your mind. It does. Besides the fact that it improves your language especially english, It really does stimulate your mind. Trust me, it does.

In the evening, went to USANA office. Listen to their presentation and testimonials. Have not been going to the USANA office for the past few weeks. Missed it but managed to be there last night. It was a good night. Last night's presentation was done by other group/team. After the presentation, they did some announcements and testimonials. The announcement were for 4 business associate who became Gold Directors and Silver Directors respectively. Congratulations to them!! It was a good experience last night and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It made me realized I need to do something.

After the presentation, went straight home. Wanted to talk to my parents about me attending a miniworkshopseries class in Subang Jaya. In that class, it teaches on becoming a speaker, trainer and a coach. I'm interested to be a speaker, trainer and coach. Need help with financial especially to pay the fees which cost RM6000.00 for a 2 weeks course. Unfortunately I was out of words. Don't know how to say to them..hehhehe. Will try again the next day.

TODAY - March 25th 2009

Today woke up early at 9am. Its the first time ever...hehehhe. This morning brought my grandpa to the Damansara Specialist for a medical check-up. Was there from 10am till about 1pm. The doctor said theres still some bacteria in his body. So he needs to continue taking some medications untill the next appointment on April 8th. Left hospital and went straight home. Had lunch at home. Had rendang dinding for lunch. My favorite. :)

Oh yes. Lets talk about reading. I love reading. I know, I've said before but I just wanna say it again. I LOVE READING. :) What do I read? Well, I read newspapers, magazines, novels, business books, motivation/self development books and ebooks.

I started reading when I was a teenager. Well at first it was not that active but only began to be active in reading in college. Or was it during my working days? Does not matter. The most important thing is me love to read. :)

I do not have any favorite author. All authors are good in their own way of writing. Every book has its own benefits especially in terms of getting knowledge, getting some learning experience and most important is the language and the way they write. I'm not saying, if I were to write; my grammar is perfect. I'm still learning the ropes of writing. Am I making any sense? Hope so.

Enough about reading for now. I did some thinking hours ago and now. I'm interested to be a speaker but I don't know how to start. I've mention a lil bit about my interest of being a speaker but I would like to go into bit detail. If you don't mind.

I've always wanted to be able to talk to hundreds or thousands of people at one time. I had this feeling of being a speaker after attending motivation/educational talks, seminars and watching some videos. My favorite speakers are Kiyosaki, Jay Abraham, Brian Tracy, Blair Singer, Tony Robbins, John Childers and many more. I love to see them speak. Its something special. I wonder how did they capture the audience attention and especially make them concentrate on listening and participating during the event. I envy them. I guess it comes with knowledge and experience.

I've learnt a lot from watching the speakers/trainers/coaches. From my observation or from my experience of watching them, it gave me an idea on the way they speak. They speak from the heart, by which they took advantage of their experience from their past in the working world or experience from their past as an individuals. Additional experiences would be education and life experience.

As a speaker, not only through life experience. It should also be from the way they speak. Example, their tone of voice; which must be very clear. Even if the speaker is a soft spoken in person, once in front of and audience it should be very clear. Other than their tone; the speaker should be very specific or in detail hence they should not speak too fast in order for the audience to understand.

Besides all of the above, the speaker should be spontaneous and fun as well. I mean, they should include humor in their speaking enggagement. I'm sure you do not want the audience to get bored and sleepy. If I were to be a speaker, my preference will be to speak on motivational or personal development.

I need to work hard and smart to achieve my goals, right? You bet! :) I wish to be like them.  Hopefully one fine day. :)

Being a speaker is one of my goals. Speaking of goals, my other goals are to sponsor kids around the worl via an organization called World Vision. So far I've sponsored two kids, one from Thailand and the other from South Africa. Both the kids are so cute.

Anyway, tonight supposed to be badminton night. Unfortunately, it was cancelled. I'm assuming some of my friends could not make it. Well, theres always another day such as this coming Friday night. :) I love playing badminton. Actually the sport that I love most is soccer. I'm a huge fan of Liverpool FC. I've been a fan since the 80s to which unfortunately I'm not good with Liverpool's history.

Since there was no badminton, I went for a movie. I saw 'The International', starring Clive Owen and Naomi Watts. The movie was good but at the end of the movie theres a question mark. I don't get it at all. Well, maybe you might. Go watch it and let me know what you think of the movie.

I got back from the cinema half an hour ago. Now its 1245 midnite. Got to go now. Time to watch tv. :)

Good night and if you're reading this blog the next day, good morning, good afternoon and good evening. :)

Aur Revoir.

Disabled unfriendly in banks

4/08/2009 10:09:00 PM

Disabled unfriendly in banks. Is it true?

Well, to answer the question above; yes its true. Don't get me wrong. I'm not here to discredit the banks in Malaysia but the fact is, it is happening here.

Its out in the papers here, today. I read the article and I found it disturbing. In fact after giving some thoughts on it, I realized it is true. Its sad to see the disabled especially the one on the wheelchairs who can't go to any ATM machine to withdraw or bank-in any cash or cheque.

Imagine yourself on a wheelchair going to the bank to withdraw some cash. Unfortunately you can't reach the buttons plus you can't even look at the screen properly. Instead you have to get someone to slot the ATM card and get the cash on your behalf to which is very risky. Risky because the person who helped could run away with the cash and bank card. Not only that it could also lead to missiong cash inside the bank.

The question is, are you willing to that? I'm sure the answer is no.

The banks should do something to make it easier for the disabled. They are human beings as well. They have feelings too. They are like us. Normal but the only difference is, they are wheelchair bound. The banks should think before putting up the ATM machine. I mean they should think of the disabled.

In other words, the banks should make their premises disabled friendly. I hope they will make some changes.

Question to Readers:

Do you agree?

What do you think?

Yesterday (Monday) - March 30th 2009

4/08/2009 10:07:00 PM

Good morning!!! :)

Its 4.50am and I'm still awake. I'm right now in front of my tv watching 'The Tudors'. Its a drama series in HBO.

Monday, March 30th 2009. The first day of the week. People call it 'Monday Morning Blues' or in short 'Monday Blues'. What is 'Monday Morning Blues'? Monday morning blues probably resonates to most folks.

It’s a pretty common malady to wake up in a fog on Monday mornings, wondering what happened to our weekend? I wonder, then, if the real meaning behind Monday morning blues is that we have to ’snap out of’ our real, important life of just being with family and friends – and re-enter the working or business world, where we have to get into our working or business-mind and get out of our being-mind?

I’m fortunate enough to work from home, and I still feel the MMB! :)  I commit to combine my being-mind with my business-mind and to remain in a state of calm and flow.

Do you have anything to share about Monday Morning Blues?  What do you think it’s all about?

Monday was a good day. Woke up at 10.00am. Spent the whole day reading personal development on the internet. Other than that watching tv the whole day. Well, not exactly. Reading about NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) on the internet. In order to learn to be a coach or a speaker, NLP is very important. Since it is too expensive to learn NLP, so the only way to learn NLP without paying is thru the internet. :)

All the coaches or speakers around the world has NLP certificate.

What is NLP? NLP is Neuro Linguistic Programming. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an extremely powerful concept. It is said by many to contain the most accessible, positive and useful aspects of modern psychology, and so can be helpful in virtually every aspect of personal and inter-personal relations. NLP has many beneficial uses for self-development, and for businesses and organizations; for example NLP enables better communications in customer service, and all types of selling. NLP enables better awareness and control of oneself, better appreciation of the other person's feelings and behavioural style, which in turn enables betterempathy and cooperation. NLP improves understanding in all one-to-one communications, especially interviewing and appraisals (whether used by the interviewer or the interviewee). NLP certainly features strongly in facilitative selling. NLP is an enabling tool of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), which is an aspect of multiple intelligence theory. Neuro-Linguistic Programming can also be very helpful forstress management and developing self-belief and assertiveness and confidence. The empathic caring principles of NLP also assist the practical application of ethical and moral considerations (notably achieving detachment and objectivity), and using loving and compassionate ideas (simply, helping people) in work and life generally. These few examples illustrate the significance of NLP as a concept for personal and organizational development.

NLP techniques help particularly by making it possible for people to:

  • Set clear goals and define realistic strategies
  • Coach new and existing staff to help them gain greater satisfaction from their contribution
  • Understand and reduce stress and conflict
  • Improve new customer relationship-building and sales performance
  • Enhance the skills of customer care staff and reduce customer loss
  • Improve people's effectiveness, productivity and thereby profitability

Other than reading and understand bout NLP, Monday was also sports day. Actually its not day but night. Monday night is badminton night. Played badminton every Monday and Friday. Every Monday will be at Stadium Juara near KLGCC and every Friday will be at Menjalara near Desa Parkcity.

Badminton court was booked by a friend. He booked 3 courts and unfortunately not many came. Unfortunately again he could not cancel the third court. Therefore still need to pay for the third court.

After badminton, left for supper at Nasi Kandar Penang in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. had my favorite indo mee telur mata with cili padi. :) Left home after supper.

Well, I hope you had a wonderful Monday. See ya.

What Makes A Malaysian A Malaysian?

4/08/2009 02:34:00 PM

Have you ever wonder what makes a Malaysian a Malaysian?

Check out below:

1.  A typical young Malaysian can name all the players from a top English  Premier League club, but  ask him to name one football player from Malaysia, he  cannot!

2.  When Streamyx come, you complain Streamyx too slow. When Maxis Broadband  come, you complain Maxis Broadband always disconnects. When WiMax come,  you complain Wimax too expensive. In  the end, you say Streamyx still the best lah.

3.  When highway toll price increase, you complain. When petrol price increase, you complain. When you go Starbucks buy RM10 coffee, NO COMPLAINTS.

4.  When you cannot find parking in a shopping mall and have to walk very far, you complain. When you go inside the shopping mall and there’s SALE, run from one end of 1Utama to the other, that one NO COMPLAINT.

5.  You are always late. And the excuse you give when you’re late is always either: (a) traffic jam (b) no transport or (c) cannot find parking.

6.  You have a parent who forces you to take science stream in high school, study engineering in Uni, then  when you graduate, they ask you to forget everything you learnt in Uni and  do commerce..

7.  You know someone who can specially develop an angmoh accent when speaking to an American / British / Australian.

8.  You complain against the government in kopitiam, you talk loud loud. Leave anonymous comments on blogs, you also talk loud loud. Attend ceramah by  DAP, you shout loud loud. Then when Opposition organise a protest and ask you to go, you dun wan. Scared later kena tangkap by ISA.

9.  Every year on the 30th April, you are one of the people below queuing up last minute to submit your tax return at the IRB.

10.  When you pay RM10 for something that costs RM1, you blame the Chinese.

11.  When a government service is too slow, you blame the Malays.

12.  When a building is not good and collapsed, you blame the Indians..

13.  When a Chinese student won a scholarship, you say ‘Wah! Very clever hor?’  When  a Malay student won a scholarship, you say ‘Aiya! Of course lah! He Malay mah!’

14.  When an angmoh stranger kisses you on the cheek to say hello, you very happy. When  a Malaysian guy kisses you on the cheek to say hello, you slap him in  face.

What do you guys and gals think?
