Effective Stimulants by Dr. Napoleon Hill

Friendship of others can be a great stimulant. There are those who think best by talking problems over with others. Friendship can be a source of new ideas, varied outlook and intellectual and moral support. As a source of laughter, it is a potent stress inhibitor. Laughter trickles through the entire body and tickles every cell into renewed vitality.

A close, warm relationship between parent and child has a most astounding influence in connection with the formation of a child’s character. It is regrettable that parents are not able to give more time and energy to develop such a relationship.

The friendship which sometimes exists between the lover of wild life and wild birds and animals is something which is most profound. Most of the creatures of the wild instinctively recognize the lover of wild life and voluntarily show their confidence in him.

The word friendship has more behind it than the mere social relationship of people. Friendship serves to bring the souls of men closer to one another. It builds confidence, inspires courage, enthusiasm, imagination and personal initiative, as nothing else can do.

Mastermind alliances are powerful mind stimulants. Evidence of this is shown in the fact that there are more successful men in all walks of life who have such an alliance.

The potential power which may be attained through the mastermind principle, is shown to the extent that it brings together the minds of many individuals and concentrates their combined power upon the attainment of a definite end. It also provides the means by which the other sixteen principles of this philosophy may be organized and directed as a single force for the attainment of any desired end.

The mastermind principle is the medium through which stimuli from many minds may be combined, and directed to a definite end. Hence, it is among the greatest of the mind stimuli.

Mutual suffering, in times of great emergency, provides a mind stimulant of stupendous proportions. Mutual suffering has the effect of causing people to consolidate their mind power, through the mastermind principle, and direct it to the alleviation of their suffering.

Autosuggestion is the medium through which every individual stimulates his mind continuously. Unfortunately most of the stimuli which reach the mind of the average person by self-suggestion are of a negative nature. They consist of thoughts of the conditions and things which one does not want—fears, worries, hatreds, envy, greed and superstition.

Kind and nice

Scenario 1

Mother: “Son”

Son: “Yes, mom.”

Mother: “Be nice to your brother”

Son: “I will, mom”

Scenario 2

Son: “Mom! Mom! Look! I got an ice cream.”

Mother: “Where did you that ice cream?”

Son: “Aunty bought it for me just now.”

Mother: “That was nice of you. Thank you.”

Aunt: “You’re welcome”

Mother: “Eat your food now. You can have ice cream later. Keep it in the fridge.”

Son: “Ok.”

Mother: “Go say thank you to your aunty.”

Son: Yes, mom.

Scenario 3

Lady: “Hi. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Lala, who donated to our charity this morning. We appreciate your kindness for contributing to our charity. Again, thank you.”

Mr. Lala: “My pleasure.”


From the scenario above, I believe you have heard it before either in TV or even in real life. There other scenarios as well, which I believe you might end up reading the scenarios only instead of the rest of the articles.

As children, we were taught that being nice is a good thing. Parents and even teachers taught children to be nice to each other. Not only being nice to friends, siblings, relatives or parents; same goes to other people such as colleagues, bosses, clients or even suppliers. Generally speaking, we learn about being nice. Same goes to kindness.

I heard some people say that kindness is not something we are taught. It is an instinct. We either have it, or we don’t. Well, I have to disagree on that. Being kind actually complements the act of being nice.

Well being nice means being kind, generous, agreeable, pleasant, respectable, friendly, forgiving and tactful. It also means going out of your way to treat others in the way that you want to be treated. For instance being nice when you get cut off in traffic. Instead of assuming the driver is insane and you start screaming or yelling at them, you give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they didn’t see you or maybe they were late for a very important meeting or maybe they just made a mistake. Why not just smile and let it go?

Being nice also means doing kind acts such as volunteering, donating and pitching in to make your home, neighborhood and community a better place. It means offering yourself to a cause that you believe to be worthwhile.

I know that nice is a small word but it has big implications. It might take little time and effort but it is also really worth it.

By being nice leads people to like you. It is easier to like someone nice. All of us have or want friends that are kind, giving and even considerate. Not only that, we want and need people that support us and that will be there for us when or if we need them. There’s an old saying, “Be a friend to have a friend.” It is really true.

Its better being nice to people than getting people to be nice at you. Actually people being nice at you is good as well but it will be much better to be nice to people. I’m sure you have heard of “its better to give than receive.” Being kind and nice really is good for you. Its gives you pure satisfaction. It also gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling all over. Of course, these positive feelings carry over into all areas of your life causing an improvement in well-being. This translates into feeling good about you.

You being nice will lead you to meet all kinds of people. This builds a greater sense of togetherness. Even within your own family unit, you can foster an increased sense of connectedness and fondness toward one another by being extra thoughtful. Being nice really has a powerful effect!

Remember I mentioned earlier in this article that being nice is also an act of being kind? You see, doing kind acts and being nice build’s one’s confidence. It just makes you feel great about yourselves when doing something for other people. By giving yourselves to others, really builds up your positive self-image. It also gives a sense of hope. You will feel strong and in control when or if you make a positive difference in the life of another.

Another thing on being kind and nice, by assisting others in their time of need, we usually walk away feeling better. Naturally, we compare our lives to those that we are helping. This comparison can leave you feeling more grateful for the life and even the feelings you have. The most important is that don’t be selfish and be sincere.

From the article above, another way of saying or a simple way of saying about nice & kindness is that whatever you do, be sincere and do not be selfish. Also whatever you do either being nice or kind or even both, you will attract positive things to you such as people being nice and kind to you, and you will even feel good and satisfied. Therefore improving you. Its basically Law of Attraction at work!!

Don’t you think the world be a better place if we were all just a little nicer and even kinder today? We would all feel so much better about one another and ourselves too!

Adaptability in Action

Hello everyone.

Human's behavior are like bees. Why do I say that? Well, let me give a scenario.

If you place bees in an open-ended bottle and then lay it on its side with the base facing towards the light, the bees will repeatedly fly to the bottle bottom towards the light. It never occurs to them to reverse gears and try another direction.

Ok. Now lets put flies in that bottle and turn the base towards the bright light. Within a few minutes, all the flies found their way out. They try all directions from up, down, towards the light, away from the light and often bumping into the glass. Then sooner or later they flutter forth into the neck of the bottle and out the opening.

We often allow ourselves to become stucked in our present situation or circumstances, even if we are unhappy and really want to be reaching in a new direction. What we’re doing may make us miserable, but at least it’s familiar. The most important factor in achieving personal success is the willingness to try things out, to experiment, to test new ground or in other words willing to take risk. In fact, this is the only way to learn and progress either trial, error, feedback, knowledge, trial and success. It is a far better thing to try to succeed and fail, than to do nothing and succeed.

So, to you my friends:

* Try it

* Change it

* Do it

Procrastination Doesn't Make Perfect by Denis Waitley

Perfectionists are often great procrastinators. Having stalled until the last minutes, they tear into a project with dust flying and complaints about insufficient time. Perfectionist-procrastinators are masters of the excuse that short notice kept them from doing the quality job they could have done.

But that’s hardly the only variety of procrastination—which is one of my own favorite hiding places when I try to blame external conditions instead of myself for some difficulty. Mine comes with a gnawing feeling of being fatigued, always behind. I try to tell myself that I’m taking it easy and gathering my energies for a big new push, but procrastination differs markedly from genuine relaxation—which is truly needed. And it saves me no time or energy. On the contrary, it drains both, leaving me with self-doubt on top of self-delusion.

We’re all very busy. Every day we seem to have a giant to-do list of people to see, projects to complete, e-mails to read, e-mails to write. We have calls to answer and calls to make, then more calls to people with whom we keep playing voice-mail tag.

Henri Nouwen’s classic book Making All Things New likens our lives to “overstuffed suitcases that are bursting at the seams.”

Feeling there is forever far too much to do, we say we’re really under the gun this week. But working hard or even heroically to solve a problem is little to our credit if we created the problem in the first place. When most people refer to themselves as being under the gun, they want to believe, or do believe, that the pressures and problems are not of their own making. In most cases, however, the gun appeared after failure to attend to business in good time. Instead of being proactive early, they procrastinated until the due date became a crisis deadline.

One of the best escapes from the prison of procrastination is to take even the smallest steps toward your goals. People usually procrastinate because of fear and lack of self-confidence and, ironically, become even more afraid when under the gun. There are many ways to experiment and test new ground without risking the whole ball game on one play.

Experience has shown that when people go after one big goal at once, they invariably fail. If you had to swallow a 12-ounce steak all at once, you’d choke. You have to cut the steak into small pieces, eating one bite at a time. So it is with prioritizing. Proactive goal achievement means taking every project and cutting it up into bite-sized pieces. Each small task or requirement on the way to the ultimate goal becomes a mini-goal in itself. Using this method, the goal becomes manageable. When mini-mistakes are made, they are easy to correct. And with the achievement of each mini-goal, you receive reinforcement and motivation in the form of positive feedback. As basic as this sounds, much frustration and failure is caused when people try to “bite off more than they can chew” by taking on assignments with limited resources and impossible timeline expectations.

Two major fears that sire procrastination are fear of the unknown and fear of rejection or looking foolish. A third fear—of success—is often overlooked. Many people, even many executives, fear success because it carries added responsibility that can seem too heavy to bear, such as setting an example of excellence that calls for additional effort and willingness to take risks. Success, without adequate self-esteem or the belief that it is deserved, also can create feelings of guilt and the result is only temporary or fleeting high achievement. Playing it safe can seem more tempting than a need to step forward with determination to do it now and do it right.

What Constitutes Genius? by Dr. Napoleon Hill

Any dominating desire, plan or purpose which is backed by faith is taken over by the subconscious mind and acted upon immediately.

The mind, stimulated by dominating desire, draws power directly from the subconscious, and, when reinforced by the power of faith, is able to create a conviction of such force that it completely rejects the idea of a possibility of failure. This constitutes genius. And genius is that which may be developed by any person in possession of his or her normal mental faculties.

A good many people have the mistaken idea that there are certain types of people in this world who can be called geniuses. The ingredients which make up genius have been discovered in the last forty years and it is now known that those persons often alluded to as possessing a rare genius actually do not have any powers which you do not possess. They are invariably persons who are consciously and subconsciously following certain basic principles which are responsible for their apparently abnormal power. The following are the basic ingredients of genius, as determined from an extensive analysis of the lives of outstanding men of this nation.

The first ingredient is the subject of this entire lesson – definiteness of purpose. A genius knows what he wants from life. Today’s geniuses are busy at the moment, moving directly, with little waste motion, toward accomplishing their objectives.

The second factor is applied faith. Not just a general faith, but applied faith, faith that is concentrated upon the attainment of the definite purpose. Definiteness of purpose is the foundation upon which all faith is based.

The third factor is something that is contagious; it is called enthusiasm, and you should catch some of this. Enthusiasm is the expression of a certain dynamic vitality in the way you walk, talk, and act. It is the result of your motivation and your physical magnetism and energy. It is the light in your eye, the vibrant timber of your voice, the vigor of your handshake. It is the element which can really build a fire under your desire and make it literally a burning desire. It is a quality which must be controlled and turned on and off at the right time.

The fourth ingredient is imagination, the activity of the mind that makes possible the creation of new ideas. Without imagination nothing new would ever be created. It, too, must be controlled and directed. It is usually most productive when activated by a specific aim or issue.

The fifth factor is motive. You are familiar with the ten basic motives previously discussed. No sane person does anything without a motive; there has to be a reason back of every act.

The sixth factor is personal initiative, backed by intense action. You will never be a genius unless you get into the habit of doing what should be done without waiting for someone to tell you to do it. Personal initiative is the self-starter and it must be kept in perfect shape for instant use. Another way of defining personal initiative might be: The ability to see things as they are and to do things as they should be done.

The seventh factor is the habit of going the extra mile. You will never be a genius unless you make it a habit to do more and better than you are paid to do, every single day of your life.

The eighth factor is forming a master mind alliance with other people. The number in the alliance depends on what you want to accomplish. For your goal in life you may not require more than a dozen or a half-dozen – maybe only one; but if you are going to be a genius you will have to learn to use other people’s brain power.

The ninth factor and last is perhaps the most important of all. You may have guessed it. It is a positive mental attitude. You certainly will ever rank as a genius until you can positivize your mind and keep it that way at will. Without a positive mental attitude, none of the other ingredients of genius will be available to you.

Made in Japan

A Japanese tourist hails a taxi at Heathrow Airport London and asks to be taken across London to the city.

On the way the tourist sees a Toyota car and shouts,

Smartest man in the world

A doctor, a lawyer, a little boy and a priest were out for a Sunday afternoon flight on a small private plane. Suddenly, the plane developed engine trouble.

In spite of the best efforts of the pilot, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot grabbed a parachute, yelled to the passengers that they had better jump, and bailed out.

Unfortunately, there were only three parachutes remaining.

The doctor grabbed one and said "I'm a doctor, I save lives, so I must live," and jumped out.

The lawyer then said, "I'm a lawyer and lawyers are the smartest people in the world. I deserve to live."

He also grabbed a parachute and jumped.

The priest looked at the little boy and said, "My son, I've lived a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace."

The little boy handed the parachute back to the priest and said, "Not to worry, Father. The 'smartest man in the world' just took off with my back pack."

Mori and Clinton

This is a true story...

A few years ago, Prime Minister Mori was given some basic english conversation training before he visits Washington and meets president Bill Clinton. The instructor told Mori "Prime Minister, when you shake hand with President Clinton; please say 'how are you'.

Then Mr. Clinton should say, "I am fine, and you?" Now you should say 'me too'. Afterwards we, translators, will do all the work for you." It looks quite simple, but the truth is.... When Mori met Clinton, he mistakenly said "Who Are You?" Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor: "Well, I am Hilary's husband, ha-ha...." Then Mori replied confidently "Me too, ha ha ha."

Then there was a long silence in the meeting room, nobody knew what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Operator : 'Sorry. Cannot. Based on the records, you've reached your daily limit on machine withdrawal today'

Customer: 'Never mind just send the pizzas, I'll have the cash ready. How long?'

Overcome laziness

Hello everyone.

Have you ever heard of someone saying, "Don't be lazy." "You're so lazy." "Its not that they don't want to do, its just that they are lazy to do." ? I'm sure all of you have been in that situation or heard someone saying it to you in one way or another. Including me!

Laziness in many cases leads to poor health, low self-esteem, lack of hope and low of confidence. It also robs a person's sense of accomplishments, sense of self-worth and self development. How are you going to learn anything or pick up new skill or develop a talent if you're too lazy to get up or do something?

Many people who seem to be lazy are just picking a passive way of dealing with fears or insecurities or frustrations for instance, people often seem lazy because of the high levels of frustration they face when trying to accomplish "simple" tasks. A person who's afraid of other people or of social situations may choose a passive approach to everything so that they won't have to take any risks. A slow learner may prefer appearing lazy to appearing stupid i.e. "if I don't do the work at all, no one will criticize my performance."


What is laziness? Well, laziness is actually a habit. Its in me and its in every one of you. Its in all of us. Basically laziness, correct me if I'm wrong; is lack of desire of changing or in other words lack of discipline. Now comes the question. Can you fight the habit of laziness? Can you overcome laziness? The answer to the question is yes. You can change.

The key to overcome laziness is to begin with asking why it is you are lazy? If you are chronically ill or depressed it may be the result of a medical condition, be it physical or mental, more so than an old fashion case of common laziness. Overcoming laziness is predominantly about changing old habits and it can be as easy as you want it to be.

Again, you need to ask yourself. Why am I lazy? You know the answer to this question. It is just a matter of being honest with yourself. Usually laziness stems from lack of motivation and you simply feel like you could not be bothered. Maybe you could not be bothered getting a job, you could not be bothered exercising, you could not be bothered making an effort to find a new partner or any number of other reasons why you just basically could not be bothered. So why is it that you feel like you could not be bothered?

Maybe you have lost confidence or maybe you never had any confidence to begin with. This can be overcome especially once you accept that this is a problem. Taking action is the first step towards overcoming laziness. By taking action, this serves as a confidence boost. Maybe the first step is just a matter turning off the TV for half an hour a day and going for a walk around the block. It may only be a baby step but it is taking action and taking action is where progress begins.

Remember the old saying, 'Rome was not built in a day'? I'm pretty sure you remember it. It is true as far as overcoming laziness is concerned, it takes time. For those who have been lazy for some time, you will need to stick with it but the results may very well be life changing. People can change and the more you believe in this idea, the faster you will see the results.

Take action by changing your diet, take action by exercising, take action applying for that job, take action by going to places where you might meet someone. It is not rocket science but it is just one easy step after another taking action daily, weekly, monthly and so on.

What happens if a person does not take any action? I guess, its either not motivated or does not have the motivation or just simply does not want to be motivated. So, what do we do about it?What do we do about the person at work who isn't willing to do his or her share of the current task? What do we do about the student who doesn't do the homework because he or she prefers to lay around, talking on the cell phone or watching TV?

To be honest, no one can make you take action. You have to find the motivation within. No matter how hard things may seem for you or how unhappy your life has become, there is a good chance that someone else in the world has had an even tougher life than you and they have overcome the odds and improved the quality of their life by taking action and overcoming laziness in the process.

When a baby starts to walk, he or she falls down time and time again in the beginning but eventually that baby begins to walk. Overcoming laziness is the same concept. When you get off your backside and take action you form a new habit and that new habit will lead you away from laziness and towards success in whatever you put your mind to.

You may ask, "motivation? What motivation?" Motivation is a desire to or aspiration to achieve something you want with the efforts to work for it. I'm sure all of you have your own goal or even dreams. Everyone have directions in life. The directions are your goals and dreams. Basically a goal or dreams are the motivation for you to take action to achieve anything you desire.

How do you get to that direction? Well, its all in the person's mind or thoughts. You control your own mind or thoughts. In other words, 'thought becomes things.' I'm sure you've heard of 'like attracts like.' If you can simply keep your thoughts on what you want you will get what you want. If you keep thinking about what you do not want you will get what you do not want. Therefore, in the situation of laziness; its the negative thoughts that has been running in your mind. Switch your thoughts from negative to positive. You'll get into the direction that you want and in the process you'll overcome laziness.

Again, as I have said in my previous articles, it’s basically the Law of Attraction at work! We human beings are like magnets. Our thoughts and feelings attract certain people and circumstances into our lives.

Thoughts become things

The basic premise behind the law of attraction is thoughts become things. When you begin to understand that your thoughts are the first step in creating your reality you can watch your life evolve according to what you have been habitually thinking about. If you can simply keep your thoughts on what you want you will get what you want. In fact, you cannot get anything else. If you keep thinking about what you do not want you will get what you do not want.

It also basically means that you will be accountable for everything you think about and the more you think about something in particular the sooner you will notice that particular thing or event appearing in your life.

If thoughts become things it means you can change almost any circumstance in your life. I say almost anything because there are some things you cannot change, for example you could probably never be able to breathe underwater no matter how much you thought about it. However, when it comes to external life situation like attaining wealth even though you have always been poor, this is a situation which is entirely possible if you change your thoughts about wealth or becoming wealthy.

You are thinking everyday and although your thoughts seem to wander and change constantly, this is just by habit. When you change your thoughts you begin changing your subconscious mind and by doing so you can change your life. If you think you have no way out to a better life, well that’s what you will get. If you think things are getting better and your life is improving then that is what will happen. As you notice things getting better and you keep your thoughts focused on this, more and more positive events will come your way. Often people change their thinking habits to a more positive mindset and as they notice improvements occurring in their lives, they begin to say things like, this can’t last, or they start to go back to their old way of thinking and just wait for things to turn sour again and that is just what happens as your thoughts become things.

When you hear about very successful people who seem to go through their lives and everything they touch turns to gold you may think to yourself they are just very lucky. It has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with what they think about, therefore once again thoughts become things. They make their own luck by only thinking about what they want. You will get what you think about, wanted or unwanted so if you have been getting what you do not want, you now know why.

Living a good life

The ultimate expression of life is not a paycheck. The ultimate expression of life is not a Mercedes. The ultimate expression of life is not a million dollars or a bank account or a home. Here's the ultimate expression of life in my opinion, and that is living the good life. Here's what we must ask constantly, "What would be a good life for me?" And you have to keep going over and over the list. A list including spirituality, economics, health, relationships and recreation.

So, what really constitute a good life?

  1. Productivity. You won't be happy if you don't produce. The game of life is not rest. We must rest, but only long enough to gather strength to get back to productivity. What's the reason for the seasons and the seeds, the soil and the sunshine, the rain and the miracle of life? It's to see what you can do with it. To try your hand, other people have tried their hand; here's what they did. You try your hand to see what you can do. So part of life is productivity.
  2. Good friends. Friendship is the greatest support system in the world. Don't deny yourself the time to develop it. Nothing can match it. It's extraordinary in its benefit. Friends are those wonderful people who know all about you and still like you.
  3. Culture. Your language, your music, the ceremonies, the traditions, the dress etc. All of that is so important that you must keep it alive. In fact it is the uniqueness of all of us that when blended together brings vitality, energy, power, influence, uniqueness and rightness to the world.
  4. Spirituality. It helps to form the foundation of a family that builds the nation. And make sure you study, practice and teach. Don't be careless about the spiritual part of your nature, it's what makes us who we are, different from animal, dogs, cats, birds and mice.
  5. What your parents taught you? Don't miss anything. Don't miss the game. Don't miss the performance, don't miss the movie, don't miss the show, don't miss the dance. Go to everything you possibly can. Buy a ticket to everything you possibly can. Go see everything and experience all you possibly can. This has served me so well to this day. Live a vital life. Here's one of the reasons why. If you live well, you will earn well. If you live well it will show in your face, it will show in the texture of your voice. There will be something unique and magical about you if you live well. It will infuse not only your personal life but also your business life. And it will give you a vitality nothing else can give.
  6. Family and the inner circle. Invest in them and they'll invest in you. Inspire them and they'll inspire you. With your inner circle take care of the details. If a father walks out of the house and he can still feel his daughter's kiss on his face all day, he's a powerful man. If a husband walks out of the house and he can still feel the imprint of his wife's arms around his body he's invincible all day. It's the special stuff with the inner circle that makes you strong and powerful and influential. So don't miss that opportunity. There is no greater value than love. Better to live in a tent on the beach with someone you love than to live in a mansion by yourself. One person caring for another, that's one of life's greatest expressions.

So make sure in your busy day to remember the true purpose and the reasons you do what you do. May you truly live the kind of life that will bring the fruit and rewards that you desire.

The difference is the way people think about whatever it is that they are thinking and feeling. The Law of Attraction is responding to feelings and thoughts. Thoughts are energy; thoughts make us have feelings and emotions. This is an ancient knowledge and through the “Secret” DVD and other publications on the Law of Attraction it has become public knowledge now. It is a powerful knowledge that you can use to turn things around completely.

Here is how you can get started to attract what you want into in your life:

  1. List out all the things you want to attract into your life. The most important should be at the top of your list.
  2. Now you have to understand that you have to do some mind work. You know that whatever you have in your life now; if you wanted it or not, you have attracted to you by the way you think and feel. Your emotions play a big role in this. If you do not like what you are attracting simply change the way you think. Dream big dreams

Allow yourself to dream, imagine and fantasize about the life that you would like to live. Think about the amount of money you would like to earn and have in your bank account. All great men and women begin with a dream of something wonderful and different from what they have today.

It’s absolutely true. Imagine that you have no limitations on what you can be, have, or do in life. Imagine that you have all the time, all the money, all the education, all the experience, all the friends, all the contacts, all the resources and everything else you need to achieve anything you want in life. If completely unlimited, what kind of a life would you want for yourself and your family?

Practice “back from the future” thinking. This is a powerful technique practiced continually by high performing men and women. This way of thinking has an amazing effect on your mind and on your behavior. Here is how it works: Project yourself in five years time. Imagine five years have passed and your life is now perfect in every respect. What does it look like? What are you doing? Where are you working? How much money are you earning? How much do you have in the bank? What kind of lifestyle do you have?

Create your own vision for long-term future. The more clearly your vision of health, happiness and prosperity; the faster you move towards it and the faster it moves towards you. When you create a clear picture of where you are going in life, you become more positive, more motivated, and more determined to make it a reality. You trigger your natural creativity and come up with idea after idea to help make your vision come true. You always tend to move in the direction of your dominant dreams, images, and visions. The very act of allowing you to dream big dreams actually raises your self-esteem and causes you to like and respect yourself more. It improves your self-concept and increases your self-confidence. It increases your self-respect and happiness. There is something about dreams and visions that is exciting and that stimulates you to do and be better than you ever have before.

Question to ask and answer yourself repeatedly: What one thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail? If you were guaranteed success in any one goal in life large or small; short-term or long-term; what would it be? What one goal would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?

Write it down and imagine that you have achieved this goal already. Then, look back to where you are today. What would you have done to get where you want to go? What steps would you have taken? What would you have changed in your life? What would you have started up or abandoned? Who would you be with? Who would you no longer be with? If your life were perfect in every respect, what would it look like? Whatever it is, take the first step today.

Dreaming big dreams is the starting point of achieving your goal of financial independence. The number one reason that people never succeed financially is because it never occurs to them that they can do it. As a result, they never try. They never get started. They continue to go around in financial circles, spending everything they earn and a little bit more besides. But when you begin to dream big dreams about financial success, you begin to change the way you see yourself and your life. You begin to do things differently, step by step & bit by bit; gradually until the whole direction of your life changes for the better. Dreaming big dreams is the starting point of financial success.

Love the opportunity

Hello everyone.

Someone said that if and when you do something, you have to love what you do. Well, that’s not necessarily true. The truth is that you have to love the opportunity. It can be to build life, future, health, success and fortune. Knocking on someone’s door or making extra call may not be something you love to do but you love the opportunity of what might be behind that door or call.

For instance; a guy says “I’m archiving files. Should I love doing it?” The answer is No. You don’t have to love doing it but if it is the initial entry onto the ladder of success; you say “I’m so glad someone gave me the opportunity to archive files and I’m going to do it so well. I won’t be here long.”

You can be inspired by having found something. Even though you are making mistakes in the beginning and even though it is a little unpleasant taking on a new discipline that you have not learned before or even have the skill to do it; you don’t have to love it. All you need to do is to learn to appreciate where you live, appreciate opportunity and appreciate the person who brought you the good news or even appreciate the person who found you. Appreciate the person who believed in you before you believed in yourself. Appreciate the person who said, “If I can do it, you can do it too. Yes you can!”

If you embrace the disciplines associated with the new opportunity, you will soon find that your self-confidence will start to grow hence you will go from being a skeptic to being a believer. Soon, when you go from person to person, talking to people, you will find it to be the most thrilling opportunity in the world. Every person you meet, what could it be? Unlimited! Maybe you’ll get a friend or friends for life. The next person could be retiring or could be a colleague for years to come. It’s big-time stuff. And sometimes, in the beginning, when we are just getting started, we don’t always see how big it is.

So, before you are tempted to give up or get discouraged or get low self-esteemed, remember that all success is based on commitment, faith, discipline, attitude and a few stepping stones along the way. You might not like the stone you are on right now, but it’s sure to be one of the stones that lead to great opportunities in the future. The most important thing is to enhance your self-esteem, be appreciative and be positive with good motivation.

All in all, as I mentioned many times before in previous article; it is Law of Attraction at work!! Its ‘Like attracts like’. Everything that you do, love to do, love the opportunity with appreciation, the positive action you take or all the good things you do; everything will fall into place. Remove all the negatives and all the good stuff will come to you.

Choose what you want in life

Choice. What is choice? Well, in terms of personal development choice refers to the act of choosing from among alternatives of beliefs, lifestyle and behavior. Basically choice is all about freedom. The freedom to pick one thing over another. Are you choosing what you want from life?

"Oh no," comes the reply. "I can't because I haven't got enough education, I need to look after my family or I don't have enough money and the time." So, what's your excuse? The truth is that we have choice in every single moment of our lives. For those who are destitute, the choices in life are fewer. But the rest of us often think we don't have freedom when we simply haven't claimed our power to choose differently.

How do you typically make decisions? Do you do so based on:

  • Doing what you believe you should do.
  • Doing what others want or expect you to do.
  • Choosing the safe route for fear of doing something different.
  • Habit and reaction – you don't even think about what you're doing. You've always done it this way?

On the other hand, you own your power to choose when you decide on the basis of:

  • Choosing something you want.
  • Responding to deeper desires.
  • Authenticity – you know who you are and what you stand for.
  • Creative expression – you strive to be more.


So what kind of choice will you make? Are you open to choosing differently? How?

Be clear of what you want. Have a sense of purpose. With a target to aim for, you'll know what will serve you best.

Stop and ask yourself. "Why am I doing this? What do I want to achieve?" Write down your answers. Be more conscious of how you are spending your precious time, because this is your life passing by. This will help you say, "Wait! I don't want to do this anymore!"

Never allow yourself to be the victim. Victims have given away their power. You alone are responsible for your life. When you fully accept this, you will claim your inner power to make better choices. Change often comes from nothing more than a shift in perspective.

Be open to possibilities. Select one area of your life where you are unsatisfied, and choose something new, something more for yourself. Do different things and do things differently. Risk more..

Empowerment arises from the three Cs: choice, courage and change. They are your's to claim. You'll be astounded at how easy it will be to take charge once you've made up your mind to do so. You have the opportunity to create a future that's very different from your past. And remember: not choosing is also a choice.

Do any one of you have self-esteem? Yes, of course you have self-esteem. Such a silly question, huh? Do you really know what is self-esteem and would you like to know how to get high self-esteem? Well, lets look at article below. Hopefully after reading the article, you'll understand and find it interesting and useful.


What is Self-Esteem?

It’s the way you feel about yourself. It comes from within. In other words self-esteem is your opinion of yourself. High self-esteem is a good opinion of you and low self esteem is a bad opinion of yourself.

Your self esteem depends on many questions:

  • Is your job worth it?
  • Do others respect what you do or do you respect what you do and what others do?
  • Do you believe in yourself and appreciate yourself?
  • Do you believe in success or do you believe that you are successful?
  • How do you see yourself and how do you relate to others?
  • What do you think of your strengths and weaknesses and how do you feel about it?
  • What do you think of your social status?
  • Do you have the ability to make your own decisions?

There are 2 types of self-esteem:

  • Low self-esteem

Low self esteem results from a poor self image. Your self image is based on how you see yourself. Low self esteem also depends on other factors such as the value of the job you do or the job you have that brings happiness with who you are.

Low self esteem feeds your negative thinking and makes you believe negative comments others make. This can cause you to lose confidence so it is vital to end negative thoughts if you want to build your self esteem.

  • High self-esteem

High self esteem is the opposite of the above. If you have a high level of self esteem you will be confident, happy, highly motivated and have the right attitude to succeed.


Over the course of your life, I’m sure that some or all of you went from having a relatively low self-esteem to having a higher self-esteem. Now this brings me to a question for you. When you changed your feelings about yourself, how many of you found that you attracted very different people and very different circumstances into your life? Again, I’m sure some or all of you do.

My point is, what we are seeing is the Law of Attraction at work! The universal law of attraction simply states that you attract to yourself opportunities, events and situations that are in association with your beliefs. Beliefs are thoughts. Thoughts carry with them certain vibration energy. Thoughts are powerful signals that are emitted into your known universe and which then create or structure the reality that you experience as your life.

Let me put it in a simple way. Its “like attracts like”. You attract into your life what you habitually dwell upon and what you feel you deserve. Your inner thoughts and feelings are projected outward and like a magnet, you attract conditions that are in harmony with those thoughts and feelings.

To be honest, I can't demonstrate on how the Law of Attraction operates. It is not visible to the eye. In fact it's working ‘behind the scenes’ but it is very real. Think of it this way. It's like transmitting and receiving radio waves. Your frequency has to match the frequency of what you want. You can't tune your radio to 92.9 FM and expect to get a 94.5 FM. Obviously it won't happen. Your energy has to synchronize with, or match the energy frequency of the sender. So, you have to keep your vibration tuned to a positive frequency in order to attract positive energy back to you.

You see, it all comes down to what you think you deserve. You then attract the people and circumstances to confirm your feelings of self-worth. So, how can you raise your level of self-esteem by taking advantage of the Law of Attraction?

Take responsibility and be responsible for the people and circumstances you have attracted. If you continue to believe that forces outside of you are responsible for your relationships and your circumstances, you'll remain stuck. Once you accept that you are the cause of your present situation, you'll make different choices moving forward, which will attract new people and new conditions.

Go beyond comfort zone. Enhancing your self-esteem is not simply standing in front of a mirror saying “I love myself.” You must engage life and feel capable.

Challenge yourself to move beyond the familiar. Learn and acquire new skills. Learn public speaking or apply for a position that you've always wanted but were afraid to pursue in your organization etc. It doesn't matter whether you're successful or not. You will raise your self-esteem just by ‘getting in the game.’

Change your expressions or words. You can't have high self-esteem when you continually put yourself down. It is important on what you say about yourself. It is also important on what others say about you.

If anyone gives you a compliment, say “thank you” and smile but if you reject the compliment, they will think that you are telling yourself you don't deserve the praise and therefore you'll attract people to confirm your low self-esteem.

Respect yourself. You must respect yourself or nobody else will respect you. If someone makes a bad comment to you, makes you angry or sad, make it clear that you won't accept that kind of language or statement but don't argue or prove that the other person is wrong.


As you show more respect for yourself, you will find that you don't attract bad or negative people into your life anymore. You're operating on a higher frequency and you now attract others who will value you instead of criticizing you.

All in all, it’s basically the Law of Attraction at work! We human beings are like magnets. Our thoughts and feelings attract certain people and circumstances into our lives. As you value yourself more, you'll enter a new world of possibility.
